Joe Kuntar - General Manager/Chief Operating Officer

Joseph E. Kuntar’s private country club experience and strong educational background has lifted the operational success of Metuchen Golf and Country Club to new heights.

Joseph is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Johnson and Wales University’s Hospitality Program. He developed his professional skills and knowledge at such renowned Private Clubs as Cedar Hill in Livingston, Panther Valley and Montammy Golf Club in Alpine, all of which are in New Jersey. Joseph’s leadership and progressive management approach are well known in the Private Club Industry.

He is currently one of the most respected members of the New Jersey Club Managers Association as well as the Club Managers Association of America.

 

Andy Brock - Head Golf Professional

Andy has been the Head Golf Professional since 2001.

He is currently serving as a board member of the New Jersey Golf Foundation, has spent 11 years on the NJPGA Board, and is currently Past President and Chairman of the Nominating Committee.

A scholarship player and graduate of the University of Richmond, Andy was named Golf Professional of the Year in 2014 for the New Jersey Section.

 

 David Rodriguez - Head Chef - Ext. 218

David Rodriguez is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. Some of his experiences in NYC at the acclaimed Righa Royal and Hilton at Short Hills is where he mastered his French Culinary background. He was part of the opening team at the Palace in Somerset Park and the new re-launch of the Double Tree in Somerset, brought David to a new era in his career. Relocating to Florida to work for 6-time Grammy Award Winner, Gloria Estefan, and their opening of their Boutique Hotel in Vero Beach, David built a great following and decided to open two restaurants in Central Florida where he received many accolades and two James Beard recognitions throughout his ownership and sold 4 years later.  

David started his country club experiences at La Gorce Country Club in Miami Beach, where he worked for two years and was then  hired by Toll Brothers Golf at the Jupiter Country Club, where he structured their food and beverage operation.  

Relocating back to NJ is what he calls home to be close to his two daughters that are attending college at Rutgers and Penn State.  In his free time, David loves to spend time with his family and friends.            

 
 Peggy Manganaro - Membership Director

Peggy comes to Metuchen Golf and Country Club with golf experience and knowledge from the United States Golf Association and Green Brook Country Club. While at the USGA, she provided an exemplary experience for all players and host clubs while coordinating efforts and being on-site, traveling throughout the country, for the U.S. Girls’ Junior, U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur and U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championships, as well as the Curtis Cup Match. Her exposure, involvement and understanding of membership plus club operations during her time at Green Brook CC will continue here in her responsibilities as Membership Director, bringing that same exemplary service to members. 

Volunteering in the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office, gardening, cooking, crafts, sports and spending time with family and friends at the beach are things enjoyed in her free time.

              

 Carlos M. PerezDirector of Dining and Catering Operations

Carlos joins us with a vast background in restaurants and country clubs. He has run the dining and catering operations of Essex County Country Club and Montclair Golf Club, as well as running restaurants in New York City for the Scalini Fedeli Restaurant Group.

He will be a key asset in our continued success in our food and beverage operations, including your dining and private party needs. 

Spending time with family and friends is what he enjoys in his free time.


 

Jason Osterhoudt - Golf Course Superintendent

Jason comes to Metuchen Golf and Country Club with over 15 years of experience in golf course management. He brings experience from Baltusrol Golf Club, Mountain Ridge Country Club and Echo Lake Country Club, and is driven to produce championship conditions for members and guests to enjoy.

Jason is a graduate of the University of Georgia and a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America and the Golf Course Superintendents Association of New Jersey, along with the New Jersey Turfgrass Association.

His family includes his wife Gina and daughter Reese. Off the course, Jason enjoys golfing, cheering on Georgia and Rutgers athletics and spending time with family and friends.

 

Andrew Lukac, Jr. - Beverage Manager

Andy Lukac, Jr. is proud to serve the membership at Metuchen Golf and Country Club by directing the wine and spirits program. He has been a fixture at the club since 1991, originally with the role of bar closing manager.

He incorporates the formula of constantly educating the staff about the elements and tenets of fine service from our beautiful bars. He is fortunate to have a distinguished and experienced group of bartenders to achieve his mission of complete member satisfaction.

Andy touts our impressive wine program featuring the very popular monthly wine features and a constantly evolving cocktail repertoire. Don’t ever be surprised to see the versatile Andy on the golf course, creating beverage stations for all of our men’s, ladies’, and sponsored events throughout the height of the season.

When time allows, Andy visits his parents who reside in Bergen County. He is a voracious reader and audiophile, devouring and listening to anything and everything. Yet, his first true love is sports, inspired by his dad who is a member of the Fordham University sports hall of fame, having played football for legendary coach Vince Lombardi.
